If you’re working in Hospital or Aged Care Cleaning, to minimise the risk of taking germs home with you, make sure you clean your mobile phone before leaving work, wipe it with an alcohol wipe or moist cloth and dry it with a clean towel.
To protect your family, if you can, shower and change into clean clothes before you leave your workplace. It’s important to not take work clothes home.
Clean your hands as soon as you get home and increase showering.
Wear clothes only once before laundering, and then hang them outside in the sun if possible.
To keep your home environment more hygienically clean during this season, launder your towels more regularly and use disposable paper towels in the kitchen, or have separate hand towels and tea towels for each family member.
Taking these small steps will help provide a safe environment for your family.
